project1

Following on from our last post, we have decided to base our theme on graffiti art, the following work is all based in London. The images shown are of graffiti work that we personally find very interesting and we feel it deserves to be noticed.
To us graffiti is an accessible area of art- broad and limitless and we find it reaches and interacts with a range of viewers, whether they have an interest in the genre or wether they are walking down the street and glance at the wall and then give it the justice of a second glance.
enjoy.

"The London police 'Lads' poster"

D-face poster, found in Waterloo.

This doctored poster near Waterloo station has been enhanced again with a D-face character on a larger scale.

graffiti and poster, West London

Another outlined figure but this time the stenciled head really pops out of the wall.

Uxbridge graffiti, West London

Some great hoodlums pictured in a subway, Uxbridge, West London.

Feltham graffiti, West London

Another section of the motorway structure...by the THC, BRS, SC crew.

Banksy- So much to say, he has done it all, we find him funny and very appealing!

Above is just a small selection of some of the work that can be found hanging around on the street. We hope that in the near future this art form will gain the respect it deserves, and wont be so 'taboo', although this aspect of it could well make it more appealing. Below are a couple of links to useful sites- Enjoy!!!
